Books: Chocolate – Indulge Your Inner Chocoholic by Dom Ramsey is a really good overview of all things chocolate – where it comes from, differences between origins, how it's made. Filled with pictures so it's not too heavy going.

Workshops: I've got an introductory Beginner's Guide to Chocolate with the Workshop app. It's £10 and will teach you the basics of making your own chocolates.

Jennifer Earle is an international chocolate judge and the founder of Chocolate Ecstasy Tours – the longest-running food tour business in London. Alongside running the tours, Jen spent years working as a buyer and new product developer for some of the largest food retailers in the UK.
